ARRIVAL OF TOURISTS IN OMAN

Upon arrival in Oman, after passing passport and customs control, tourists should proceed to the exit to meet the representative of the receiving company indicated in the voucher.
The meeting is carried out with a sign bearing the logo of the receiving company.

The contact details of the receiving company are indicated in the hotel voucher.
If necessary, tourists may contact the representative using the phone number provided.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Hotel check-in without an accompanying person is generally permitted from the age of 18.
Some hotels may have internal rules — in case of doubt, it is necessary to request in advance from the coordinator the possibility of confirmation as an exception.

Important! The hotel may charge a deposit for accommodation, which is refunded after check-out if no additional expenses are incurred. The amount of the deposit and the form of payment (cash or card authorization) are determined by the hotel rules.

A woman may enter Oman and stay at a hotel without being accompanied by a man, provided she has reached the age of majority and complies with the hotel rules.

In accordance with international regulations, hotel check-out time is 12:00 local time.
On the day of arrival, check-in to rooms is usually carried out after 14:00–15:00.

Room allocation (including room changes) is the prerogative of the hotel administration.

It is recommended to store money, documents, and valuables in the safe located in the room or at the reception desk.
The hotel administration is not responsible for lost valuables left outside the safe.

A penalty may be charged for the loss or damage of wristbands, keys (room or safe), towel cards, as well as for their damage, in accordance with the hotel policy.

Bringing personal beverages into the hotel restaurant is not allowed — an additional charge may be applied for opening each bottle.
It is also not allowed to take food outside the restaurant taken from the buffet.

In each hotel, the ALL INCLUSIVE concept has its own features.
The general rule for most hotels:
— complimentary drinks are usually served in glasses;
— bottled drinks are charged additionally;
— freshly squeezed juices, ice cream, and made-to-order coffee are most often not included.

For meal plans such as half board, full board, and all inclusive, services usually start on the day of arrival with dinner and end with breakfast on the day of departure.
In case of arrival at night, dinner is usually not provided.

Visiting à la carte restaurants requires prior reservation and, in most cases, an additional charge (including many all-inclusive hotels).
Details are recommended to be clarified with hotel staff or a representative of the receiving party.

IMPORTANT! The hotel administration has the right to make changes to the hotel concept, including the list of paid and free services, without prior notice.
Photos, characteristics, and hotel descriptions posted on the website may differ from the actual current situation.

Hotel Departure

On the eve of the return flight, tourists are informed of the airport transfer time by the representative of the receiving party indicated in the voucher, or through the hotel reception.

If there is no information about the transfer time, it is necessary to independently contact the receiving party using the contacts specified in the voucher.

On the day of departure, tourists must be in the hotel lobby at the designated return transfer time.
In case of a group transfer, a delay of the bus of 10–15 minutes is possible.

In accordance with international regulations, the room must be vacated by 12:00 local time (in some hotels — by 11:00).
If the room is not vacated on time, a charge for the next day may be applied.

Before leaving the hotel, it is necessary to:
— pay for additional services;
— obtain a document confirming payment.

Transfer

When booking a group transfer, the maximum waiting time at the airport is up to 1.5 hours.

Group transfer is carried out along the route
airport — hotel — airport
and implies a shared transfer for all tourists staying in hotels of the same region and arriving on the same flight.

For this type of transfer, buses of different capacities are provided, depending on the number of tourists.

Group transfer does not include transportation of oversized baggage, including bicycles, surfboards, diving equipment, and other non-standard items.

As a rule, the following are not allowed:

  • flip-flops and beach sandals;
  • short shorts;
  • beachwear and sportswear.

For men, trousers or jeans with a shirt or polo are recommended.
For women, dresses, skirts, or trousers are recommended.

Alcohol:
Alcohol is permitted only in licensed restaurants and hotels.
Taking alcoholic beverages outside these venues and consuming alcohol in public places is prohibited.

Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
